Probate and Probate Administration Fees

Initial Consultation
This office offers an initial consultation of up to 30 minutes for a flat fee of $100

Types of Fees

Probate cases are billed on an hourly basis. Usually the attorney's fees will be disbursed out of the final distribution of the estate, so no fees are required up front. A $500 retainer may be required to cover costs such as filing fees and publication fees.

Billing
You will receive a monthly statement detailing the action taken and work performed on your case and the amount of time spent on each action. Bills are mailed out on the 1st of each month.

Hourly Fees
If your case is billed at an hourly rate, you will be billed for the amount of time each person in our office spends working on your case. This includes time spent in communications such as phone calls, letters, and emails as well as time spent in meetings, drafting documents and reviewing the file while preparing a strategy or plan. Billing is done in 6 minute increments.
